Police were called to a fight in the middle of the street only to stumble across £100,000 worth of cannabis.
Officers were called to Cheltenham Street in Old Basford at 4.15am on Monday, June 15.
The report was to four men fighting in the street with pieces of wood.
The men aged 23, 23 and 30 were arrested at the scene. A fourth man was detained after running from the address shortly after.
A cannabis grow of more than 100 plants worth £100,000 was then uncovered.
All four were arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and affray. They remain in police custody.

Detective Inspector Chanelle Whitney is leading the investigation.
She said: “Response officers quickly attended after a report and more than 100 cannabis plants were found inside a property.
“It’s estimated that these plants are worth around £100,000 and have now been seized by officers.
“Violent crime and illegal drugs have no place on our streets and we are committed to investigating all reports made to us thoroughly.
“Drug production and dealing often leads to further crime including violence which causes misery in our communities and I would urge people to let us know if they suspect drug dealing in their neighbourhoods as no one wants incidents like this happening on their doorstep.
“We are operating as usual despite the coronavirus pandemic and the positive police work shown in the early hours of this morning demonstrates our continued efforts to clamp down on crime across our city and county.
“While we have made arrests, our investigation is in its early stages and I would urge anyone with any information or dash-cam footage of this incident to contact us as soon as possible.”
