Cannabis worth €340,000 has been recovered from an abandoned van in Dublin.
The drugs were found after the van was driven away from a checkpoint on the Ratoath Road in Finglas last night.
Gardaí followed the van, which was abandoned a short time later on Dunsink Lane. The Garda Air Support Unit assisted in a search of the area but the van driver was not found.
Seventeen vacuum-packed bags of cannabis, weighing around 1kg each, were found in the back of the van.
Gardaí say no arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
