This is not a series where i show plants and buds, in this show I take real viewer questions and break down in FULL detail how to solve your problem. While every problem is unique, most problems are shared by all growers at some point in their Growing journey.
This series is geared more towards the grower that wants the unadulterated facts and learning things that you can use in your garden for a lifetime. With the backing of over 20 years experience and knowledge i will show you what it takes to be a MASTER CULTIVATOR©

QUESTION ANSWERED IN THIS EPISODE:
So, on to my question. It seems to be a popular subject among quite a few people this year, and that is pre-flower. This is kind of a multi-part question, but here it goes:
1) How do you go about avoiding the issue all together when starting plants early under artificial light or sunlight with supplemental light? I know it’s important not to put the plants out too early, around the 14 hours of sunlight mark or May 15th being that I’m in SoCal. I had my plants, started from seed, out in early April under the sun with supplemental light in the evening until June 1st. About 3 weeks after I cut the lighting I started seeing signs of flower. Hit them with some fish emulsion and they seem to be bouncing back into veg. Where did I go wrong, no clue, but I’m really interested to see how you go about this.
2) This would be a more important question since the pre-flower happened already for most, and that is how do you manage the plants now? My plants seem to have barely flowered, no real bud development, no frosty leaves, just a few more white hairs in the joints of the branches, and no real hairs at the tops. Will these little sites hang in there until flower fully kicks off and finish growing eventually, or will they wilt off and new growth emerge? Does anything need to cut back to initiate new growth?
