Officers say they found 510 pounds of marijuana after responding to complaints from residents
Six people have been arrested in Toronto in connection with an alleged illegal grow-operation where $2.3 million worth of cannabis was seized by police.
Officers said they found 510 pounds of marijuana after responding to complaints from residents in the area on Tuesday afternoon, reports Global News.
Authorities reportedly obtained a search warrant for an industrial unit in the area where they found evidence of a cannabis distribution operation and the massive seizure of the drug.
The six people arrested, all residents of Scarborough and other surrounding cities, have been charged under the Cannabis Act for possession of cannabis with the intent to distribute.
They are expected to appear in court in October.
