Andreya Summerson, 28, of 684 Second Ave., was unconscious but breathing when police found her laying on her kitchen floor after her 9-year-old child called 911, city police allege.
William Badger, the officer who filed the affidavit in the case, said there were two empty bags on a nearby county in plain view that contained synthetic cannabis. Additionally, officers found several small pieces of K2 and ashes around the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Summerson’s three children, aged three, five and nine, were allegedly crying. Summerson’s husband was conscious but allegedly slurred his speech and was unsteady on his feet, Badger said.
Badger wrote that neither Summerson nor her husband were fit for caring for the three young children living in the residence with them.
Later, Summerson told police she smoked K2 two days prior, Badger said. According to Badger, Summerson’s eyes were bloodshot and her pupils were dilated.
Summerson was charged with a count of endangering the welfare of each of her three children, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held on bail for $125,000 and is scheduled to appear before District Judge Aaron Biichle for a preliminary hearing Dec. 17.
