The Illinois State Police arrested two individuals accused of dealing drugs in Grundy County.
A vehicle driven by Khalil Grissett, 25, of Cleveland, Ohio was pulled over for speeding and improper lane usage on Interstate 80 eastbound lanes in Grundy County around 12:15 p.m. on Friday, April 2nd.
ISP officials say 7900 grams or 17.41 pounds of dispensary labeled leaf cannabis, cannabis oils/concentrates, and cannabis edibles was located in the vehicle.
During the traffic stop investigation, Grissett and the passenger, Tyvon Ross, 26, of South Euclid, Ohio were arrested for Possession of Cannabis more than 5000 grams.
They were charged with manufacturing and delivering more than 5000 grams of cannabis, a class X felony and for the Unlawful Possession of more than 5,000 grams, a class one felony. Grissett and Ross were lodged at the Grundy County Jail.
